BEFORE CLASS:

  1. Review the notes from the day before
  2. Review your reading assignments
  3. Make sure you have paper, text, pencils handout
  4. Write the date at the top of your paper for notes
  5. Leave spaces between the line so we can add up new informations

WHILE TAKING NOTES…

→ Be aggressive. Not a passive listener

→ Ask questions and discuss if it is permitted

  • Discover the meaning

MOOD OF LECTURERS:

◊ Observation is the key

  • Keep observers focus their attention on the details and make the most of their time during lectures by preparing and reviewing before the lecturers even lectures
  • Complete the assignments outside; the more familiar you are with the subject, the more easier it takes for you to understand in class
  • Bring the correct material to the lecturers

KEY ACTIONS TO NOTES AS YOU OBSERVE YOUR INSTRUCTORS:

√ Be alert to repitition

  • Be alert and make notes when the instructor repeat a specific point

√ Watch the board or overhead projector

  • The material is important when the instructor write something

√ Aware of instructor’s level of interest

  • If the lecturer is excited about something, it may be on test or exam

√ Not judging about lecturer’s style of teaching

  • Do not make attitude on the style of lecturer’s teaching

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOUR INSTRUCTOR IS NOT TOO INTERESTING ?

  • When you start losing attention, pay attention to the act of writing
  • Ask questions
  • Volunteer for demonstrations and discussions

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOUR LECTURES IS NOT TOO INTERESTING ?

  • It becomes harder to fall asleep
  • Easier to read because near to the white board
  • Helps the lecturer to see you easily

♦ Borrowing and Returning Books

  • Maximum 20 books only are allowed to borrow for diploma and degree students
  • Due date for borrowing books is just 14 days

♦ Steps on How to Borrowing Books

  • Counter ( Kiosk )

♦ Fine

  • Returning book late will be charged 20 cents per day
  • Not allowed borrow any books if did not pay fine

♦ If Lost the Books

  • Report it to the staff of the library
  • The staff will check for the status of the book
  • If the book still does not found by the staff, they will give you 14 days to find it on your own
  • If still cannot find it, you must pay the fine

Intern Library Loan

  • If you not discover or not found the books in the library, but other library own the books, you can borrow it through the counter

Hello there!

My name is Dina Syahirah Bt Muhd Ali. I was born on November 22, 1999. I live in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur. Im a second last child from five siblings. Im currently studying in University Technology Mara (UiTM) Campus of Jengka. Now, im in a first semester of taking a diploma in office management and technology. My hobby is playing many kind of sports such as playing badminton, netball, swimming and jogging. Not to forget, im also a sucker of good and unic musics too. While my goal is to have a good career which is working in a company as a personal assistant. My main intention of creating this blog is because i would like to share some tips that i have obtain from lecturers on how to have a good and systematic life as a university student.
